This is the image of Iftar in Tokyo Masjid or Turkish Mosque whatever you would like to call it. It was taken by someone for japantoday.com website. This shows people taking their iftar yesterday (June 29). An interesting phenomenon about the iftar dinners in Tokyo Masjid is that even, many non-Muslim Japanese also join for the dinner. Sometimes, they even embrace Islam after taking the dinner in the Masjid and talking to the Muslim folks gathered in the hall for the iftar.
The Masjid arranges iftar dinner for women as well but it is offered in a separate room as one would expect.
Alhamdu lil Lah, Islam is truly a universal religion. Even in feudal Japan ! Ramadan Kareem, my brothers and sisters. May the peace and blessings of Allah be on you and all followers of the guidance the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). May we all be counted among the emancipated this month of Ramadan. Amin
