Ramadan 2022 Announced In Japan

Nov 22, 2025 · H. Maqsood Ahmed
Ramadan 2021

Alhamdulillah, Japanese Muslims is glad to announce that Ramadan 2021  has been announced for Japan.  Please prepare yourself and your family members to start fasting from tomorrow morning, Insha Allah. It is sad that the COVID-19 pandemic is expected to rob hundreds of millions of Muslims in Japan and around the world from congregating for prayers, iftar, and other Ramadan-related activities. But, let`s accept whatever the circumstances may be and pray to Allah for seeking His blessings and forgiveness whatever the situation we may be facing.

Masjids don’t just host daily free iftar (the meal eaten after sunset). They host fundraisers, and Islamic lectures, all an integral part of the holy month. Following most iftars, Muslims go to the masjid for a communal prayer that can only be done during Ramadan, Taraweeh.

This year as well, many Muslims will have to go the virtual route. But, we suggest all Muslim brothers and sisters not lose hope and continue to seek the pleasure of Allah even if they are alone.
