About 500 Muslims, Japanese and non-Japanese friends from other faiths attended the annual Charity Bazaar held at the famous Tokyo Masjid in the heart of Tokyo on Sunday, November 17, 2013. Various Muslim organizations and individuals set up impressive food stalls of gourmet foods including bakery items, deli foods, sweets, biryani and other ethnic cuisines and booths of other fashion related items from their respective countries to display the culture of Muslims all over the world. Visitors greatly enjoyed the delicious food and took strong interest in buying other ethnic items.
The Charity Bazaar has become an annual event, thanks to the unprecedented success it has achieved over the past several years. The day-long Bazar has become quite famous among Tokyoities and visitors from other places. People from other faiths especially showed strong interest in various handicrafts, and food items. The ethnic items on display included handicrafts, halal groceries, Malaysian, Turkish, Pakistani, Arabian food , Islamic books and Muslim fashion etc.
