Japan Muslim Peace Federation (JMPF) hosts annual seminars at “The University of Tokyo” to introduce the personality of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) to Japanese people. In this seminar, scholars introduce different aspects of the personality of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) to Japanese people.
The fifth seminar of the series will be held on October 14, 2012. The topic of this year’s seminar is “Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a Bridge for Buddhism, Christianity and Islam”. A famous Islamic scholar SheikhYusuf Estes from the US will be the key-note speaker. Dr.Yusuf Estes, who embraced Islam in 1994, is a well-known Muslim leader and is liked by young as well as old due to his lively and often humourous talks. The detailed biography of the Sheikh can be viewed at Wikipedia. fromhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yusuf_Estes
Considering the enthusiasm of Muslims about the visit of SheikhYusuf Estes, JMPF is also going to arrange separate programs for Muslims in Tokyo, Nagoya and Kyushu.
The 2nd speaker of this year’s seminar is Dr. Kamal Atsuhi OKUDA, a Japanese Muslim professor at Keio University. Besides holding the seminar, JMPF also publishes the proceedings of the seminar, which not only serves as a reference book, but also provides useful information about different aspects of the life of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).
The expenses of the seminar are covered through donations and advertisements (published in proceedings). We ask you to support JMPF to make this year’s seminar a success. For this purpose, we are not only looking for donations, but also your coöperation in inviting non-muslim Japanese to this seminar.
The donations should be transferred to
