The Ministry of Higher Education of Saudi Arabia is planning to hold the Saudi Cultural Day in Osaka on October 14, 2012. A number of Saudi academics and students from the kingdom will take part in the event.
The purpose of the Saudi Cultural day is to highlight the strong relations both Japan and Saudi Arabia enjoy with each other. The event will also serve to introduce the Saudi culture and civilization to the Japanese community.
Esam Bokari, Director of the Saudi Cultural Bureau in Tokyo, Japan said that the event would enhance awareness on the Saudi culture and tradition as well as the Islāmic faith in the Asian nation.
A number of lectures and seminars will also be organized as a part of the event.
According to Bokari, there are moves to translate a number of books about Saudi Arabia into the Japanese language.
