We, the Muslims as well as non-Muslims in Japan and elsewhere, often talk about THE most successful people in our times as well as in the bygone days. These people not only achieved larger-than-life goals in their lifetimes, but also influenced millions and, in some cases, billions of people on the planet in various periods.
In our recent history, the very first name which comes to our minds is, of course, Bill Gates of Microsoft Corporation, who has truly revolutionized the information technology industry, touched upon the lives of hundreds of millions across different continents, and is also admired by the Japanese among others.
However, his contribution to society is limited in a sense. Some other individuals in the contemporary world claim the same spot as he does.
But how about introducing our blessed Prophet as the most successful personality in world history who changed the course of history in every sense of the word.
To fairly compare contemporary personalities against the past ones, we need to make an unbiased assessment of who has or might influence the most number of people in the world.
There is no doubt that Jesus, the Christ has the most number of followers in history. However, in so many different ways our beloved Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (may Allah be pleased with him) is unparalleled in the history of mankind as he changed the course of history for the better. He is the most perfect example of how a person could affect a countless number of people to guide them to the rightly guided path.
Christ`s life is shrouded with lots of myths. People have only a hazy idea of how his life looked like and what his teachings were.
But, our beloved Prophet is the most admired person on the face of the earth, the person whose every single facet of life is explicitly recorded in books for the last 1500 years.
Most of the Japanese people do not know much about Islam and the Prophet (PBUH). They are leading aimless lives. they do not seem to have any real purposes in their lives. Many of them commit suicide every single year. We, as Muslims, need to introduce them to the most successful person, our beloved Prophet (PBUH) so that they could be guided to the right path and thus happy lives here and in the world hereafter.
