It is a lovely little mosque in Central Tokyo, and, maybe most convenient to people from nearby Akihabara, Ueno, Tokyo/Otemachi,Okachimachi, and, of course, the University of Tokyo as well. Though, the Masjid is about five to ten minutes` walk from the JR Okachimachi Station, it is just three-minutes away from Naka Okachimachi Subway station.
While on my way to the Masjid, I saw many people rushing to catch the Friday Prayers from nearby places. It was amazing to see people from so many nationalities praying together in this small mosque. Most of these people are either students from nearby educational institutions or employees from multinational offices scattered in the nearby areas so abundantly.
It may not be THE most beautiful mosque in the city. However, it is certainly one of the most convenient one for people from Central Tokyo. So, please do not forget to visit the mosque when you are in the nearby area next time. Once you go there, you will find a Halal food shop which sells all types of ethnic halal foods from the subcontinent and other Muslim countries from the Middle East and Africa.
There is also a Pakistani Halal restaurant titled Sultan Restaurant nearby which is open every day until late in the evening.
